Travel and Visa Information
Entering Canada: Tips for Travellers
All visitors must have valid travel documents and identification to enter Canada, see the sections below to determine your requirements.
Carry proper identification such as a valid U.S Passport
Find current information on entry requirements on the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) website.
Requirements may vary depending on the country you’re travelling from or transiting through. You may need a visitor visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization. Find out if you need a visitor visa. Should a visa be required, please apply early to allow sufficient time for processing.
If you require a visa to travel to Canada, please ensure you also submit a ‘Letter of Invitation to the World NCD Congress 2023” when you submit your visa application form, see the “Letters of Invitations” section below. Keep a second copy of the invitation letter to show when you enter Canada.
Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA)
Visa-exempt foreign nationals (excluding U.S. citizens) must apply online for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), ideally prior to booking their flight to Canada. Apply Here
Letters of Invitation
Letters of Invitation to participate are available to registered and paid participants of WNCD 2023. Please note the ‘Letter of Invitation’ is not a guarantee that you can enter Canada.
Registration will open in October 2022 and you will have an opportunity to request a pdf invitation letter (which will be sent to you by email) during the registration process at no charge. Invitation letters will be sent once your registration is fully paid. If you require a hard copy letter, a $50 administration charge will apply.
